A Hidden Gem – Glenmore Manor

My favourite thing to do on a Friday night is chill out with the girls, and I have found a new spot to do this in!

I was invited, along with some other local bloggers (Ruth from Willow Lane, Carolyn from Forever Scarlet, Bex from FaeriWood and Megan from VENT-threads), to spend the night at Glenmore Manor, an 18th Century home just off the M1 in Lurgan.

On arrival on Friday evening, we were greeted by Eileen, owner of Glenmore Manor, and given a quick tour of the six bedrooms, the kitchen, dining and lounge rooms and the pool areas.  Glenmore Manor is defined as a ‘holiday let’, where you basically rent the whole house – perfect for a get together, a hen party or even a wedding.  I love the idea of taking it over Christmas, what a way to relax during the festive holidays!

As a busy working mum I really appreciate the opportunity to relax with my feet up and without the pressures of the bedtime routine.  Mind you, I still managed to choose the Bluebell Family Room, with my second favourite room being the Meadow Sweet Family Room and as soon as we settled, swiftly took the necessary mummy snacks from my bag to keep us going until dinner!  I needn’t have feared though as Pat and Eileen’s hospitality made our overnight a perfect stay.

glenmoremanor.JPGA quick catch-up over wine and nibbles, before we headed to the dining room for a delicious Indian meal prepared for us by our very own chef.  On very full stomachs, we headed to the jacuzzi for some more relaxing!  After a few hours, a few glasses, and wrinkly skin, we headed to our separate bedrooms where I was preparing for an extra long lie in!

Thanks to Diane, Pat and Eileen for organising a fabulous blogger break:)  Have a look at all the details online and get ready to book your break!
