After leaving the house on a few occasions and not taking my own advice about the weather, I was back to the bare legs and sandals! So here’s a few options of what I’ve been wearing…

I also managed to meet some of my challenge and wear items I haven’t worn in ages (except the boyfriend jeans of course!). I actually forgot I had an item from each picture – the coral tee, the Sparkly shorts, the chinos (still not sure about these??), the Custo dress and the playsuit. The outfit worn however for the Argento shoot may just have been new…?!
If you like my style, check out my post on The Matalan Style Project and please vote! Thanks;)
At a time when I have been trying my best not to spend any pennies (or unfortunately as it always turns out, pounds!), the sales come upon us.
I love catching a bargain, but I am not a keen sale shopper. I tend to go into a store, have a quick browse over the rails and if no colour or fabric stands out, I move on to the full price items – not a savvy shopper I’m afraid. I have found in the past (as I’m sure many of you will also admit to), I pick up and buy items just because “..it’s a great deal..” to find the item still in my wardrobe, unworn, many weeks later. But I always have a quick look anyway, just in case!
One area I spend a little more time searching is by the accessories. You can get a great deal in jewellery, handbags and shoes in the sale – and they are often laid out in a fashion where they are easy to browse.
And this is exactly what I did in Rushmere Shopping Centre. I was just going to make a few returns and have a wander, coffee in hand. Needless to say, the coffee was never bought. Accessories on the other hand, were.
Accessorize first. Necklaces, half price. One of my all time favourite necklaces is from Accessorize and was bought for a mere 50p in the sale! These two necklaces were both 50% off – a little quirky, just how I like my jewellery!
Next up, River Island. A statement necklace from £5, silver cross earrings 50p and neon pumps £15. Three items for less than the price I was going to pay for another pair of silver pumps!
Mini Glasses Pendant £2.50
On Your Bike Pendant £3
Statement Necklace £5
Here are a few other pieces I have my eye on.

Nicole Richie once said;
True friends are like diamonds – bright, beautiful, valuable, and always in style.
Which pieces of jewellery are your true friends??
My favourite casual look has to be a printed t-shirt with jeans – relaxed, comfortable and with a bit of quirky style. Below are a few of my favourites of the moment.
Coral Bird Print Cropped T-shirt – River Island £10 (was £15)
Dreaming Hearts T-shirt – http://www.zazzle.co.uk £20.95
Love Moschino Zip Smiley Short Sleeved T-shirt – http://www.asos.co.uk £65 (was £110)
Hummingbird T-shirt – Warehouse £26
I love the cropped t-shirt in the first picture – a style I wouldn’t normally wear but what a cute print! You can also get a white standard length t-shirt with the same print, sold in support of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. Also love the Moschino t-shirt with sequin, zip and bow detailing – thinking I could do a bit of this myself??
I used to love the tie dye look in the 80’s but they do say if you wore it the first time…! This t-shirt gives a more updated look with the colour splatter. For any Made in Chelsea fans out there, the Floral Cross Tank has been designed by Oliver Proudlock – there is a great range online but this was my favourite. This Freedom t-shirt should be in the ‘If I were to buy one thing‘ post. Zoe Boomer is a Northern Irish designer who creates elegant, modern designs and I only recently realised this top is actually made from silk. I can just imagine how beautiful it would sit with my favourite skinny jeans, a little pair of sandals – luxurious and simple!
Vila Studded Sweat Top – ASOS £24.50 (was £35)
Boyfriend shirt in Cosmic Tie Dye Print – ASOS £36
Brogues T-shirt – http://www.notonthehighstreet.com £17
Number Airtex Tee – Topshop £22
A little off the t-shirt trail with the top two offerings – an embellished jumper is a wardrobe essential and another tie dye, maybe I’m falling in love all over again! And how could I not add a brogues picture – this is sold as a men’s t-shirt, but with rolled sleeves, a belt or tying at the bottom, it could easily be worn by girls too. My final offering is in keeping with the current sports luxe trend, again, probably not something I would wear but I like the simplicity of this tee.
So clearly I like a printed tee with all my ‘loves’ – which style do you love??
I have a really bad habit which I have mentioned before – I buy a new item of clothing and suddenly this is the only thing I want to wear, so I have attempted to mix it up as best as possible, creating a few different looks. I am a lover of the white t-shirt – it’s so versatile and can be worn dressy or casual – a favourite quality of mine when I’m purchasing a new item of clothing.

What’s your current favourite wardrobe piece at the moment or are you good at wearing it all?
So last week in Northern Ireland was summer. The sky was blue, the sun was out and the summer wardrobe was unleashed! And here is what I wore, with a little smile I might add – it must be the weather usually makes me grumpy in my pics!

Lots of positive comments about this dress today – not my normal shape at the top but a little stitch held me together!
